Former Inn Owner Dies at 78
Mrs. Jennie M. Bush, 78, o 22 Front St., Alburtis, former owner of the American Hotel in Alburtis, died yesterday in Allentown Hospital. She was the widow of Ernest Bush.
Mrs. Bush owned the American Hotel with her husband for many years. Selling it after his death in 1957.
Born in Freemansburg, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Susan (Campbell) Anthony
A national representative of the Daughters of America from the Alburtis Council 156, she was a member of Zion (Lehigh) Lutheran Church, Alburtis, R. 1.
Surviving are a son, Edward F. Bauers, of Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers, Stewart Anthony of Allentown and Milton of Alburtis and four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Wassum of Alburtis; Verna, wife of John Collier of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mabel, wife of LeRoy England of Allentown, and Grace, wife of James Kester of Bethlehem.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville. The viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday. |
