John S. Brotzman
John S. Brotzman died at the county almshouse on Sunday morning, aged
seventy-eight years, of general debility. Deceased was a native of
Bethlehem township. He is survived by these children. Mrs. Peter Kist,
Mrs. Conrad Dabus, and Mrs. Isaac Pixley, all of Easton; Henry Brotzman,
of Butztown, and Stewart Brotzman of Danforth, Me. Mrs. Charles Godley,
of the South Side, who died several days ago, was a sister of the deceased.
Another sister and brother survive: Thomas Brotzman, of the South Side,
and Mrs. Louisa Hartzell, of Williams Township.
Mr. Brotzman was a member of ST. John's Lutheran Church. He served
as a wagon master for three years during the war of the Rebellion.
The funeral will take lace from the residence of his daughter, Mrs.
Kist. No. 1036 Lehigh Street, this city, on Wednesday afternoon at
two o'clock.
