Andrew Jackson Brown, the well-known butcher residing near the Fountain
house in Palmer Township, was terribly cut about the head in a runaway
accident on Tuesday evening, January 3. He was found unconscious lying
in the road not far from his home, to which he was assisted. His wounds
were very painful and he suffered a great deal. Blood poisoning set
in and this morning he died. Deceased was raised in Palmer township
and was supervisor there for several years. He conducted a meat market
at Fifth and Northampton street for several years. He was about fifty-years
old, and is survived by his wife and daughter Mrs. Charles W. Herster,
a younger daughter and one son, Robert. |
