Mrs. Goldie V. McCandless, 89, formerly of Bethlehem, died Sunday in the Blough
Nursing Home, Bethlehem. She was the widow of David M. McCandless.
She and her husband operated the former McCandless Grocery
Store, Main and Goepp streets, Bethlehem.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose
Coken.
She was a member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.
Surviving are three brothers, John and Arthur, both of Bethlehem,
and William of Cleveland, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Harriette
Freudenberger of Bethlehem.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial
Park, Bethlehem. There will be no calling hours.
The Snyder-Hinkle Funeral Home, 527 Center St., Bethlehem,
is in charge of arrangements. |
