Lawrence J. Dicker, 89, of Lowhill Township, formerly of Center
Valley, died July 5 in his home. He was married to Evelyn E.
(Novak) Dicker for 51 years last October.
He was a store manager for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control
Board in several Lehigh Valley stores for more than 29 years
before retiring in 1969.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late George and Elsie
(Garis) Dicker.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Bethlehem.
He was a member of the Men of Retirement Age Club, Bethlehem,
and AARP, and a social member of Edward Ackerman American Legion
Post, Hellertown.
Survivors: Wife; daughter, Sally E. Markley, with whom he
resided; son, Robert L. of Topeka, Kansas; five grandchildren,
10 great-grandchildren.
Services: private, at the family's convenience. No calling
hours. Arrangements, Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. |
