Lyla M. Pursell
Lyla M. Pursell, 85, formerly of Holland Township, NJ, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Palm Beach Gardens Hospital Hospice, Palm Beach, FL.

Born: On April 30, 1924 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel Fishler.

Personal:She met her husband, Walter "Windy" Pursell and they began their life together. This union created six children. For 16 years, she had worked in the cafeteria of the Holland Township Elementary School, retiring in 1987. These endeavors along with caring for many who needed her gave her an unforgettable presence in this life.

Memberships: Lyla was a life member of theHolland Presbyterian Church and of the Ladies Auxilliary of Post #7857, VFW,Milford-Frenchtown, NJ.

Survivors: sons, ****, of Easton, PA, ****, of Jupiter, FL, with whom she made her home for many years, ****, of Palmer Township, PA; daughters, ****, of Harmony, NJ and *****l, of Littleton, MA; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

Her caretaker, Eddy, who was like a fourth son to her.

In addition to her husband, who died in 1989, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward, two grandsons, Trever and Stephen and brothers and sisters.

Services: Graveside services in the Riegelsville Union Cemetery will be held on August 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. Memorials:Memorial contributionsmay be made to the Holland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund, 302 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848. Arrangements by the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, Riegelsville, PA.
