Paul A. Gross, Ex-Fire Chief in Slatington
Paul A. “Pumpkin” Gross, 57, of 28017 Gay Ave. Unit 17, Interlachen, Fla, a former resident of Slatington, died Saturday in his home. He was the husband of Roberta (Kern) Gross.
Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Minnie (George) Gross. A former employee of the Slatington Gas Co., Gross was a former chief of the Springside Fire Co. in Slatington and a former president of the Four-county Fireman’s Association.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, *****. wife of *****, and ***** wife of *****, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fal.; a son., ***** of Fort Lauderdale; two sisters, Alma, wife of Troy Handwerk of Slatington, and Mary, wife of George Jacoby Sr. of Berlinsville, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday in Florida.
