Walter W. Grube
Walter W. Grube, 83, of Milford, N.J, died Friday, November 22, 2002, in the home of his daughter, in Milford.
Born December 10, 1918 in Easton, a son of the late Wallace and Nellie Moser Grube.
He lived in Milford area for most of his life until 1991 when he moved to Largo, Fla. He lived there for 11 years, returning to Milford in February of this year.
He was last employed as a lathe operator in the Milford mill of the Riegel Paper Corp. where he worked for almost of his 47 years with the company. He retired in1982. He was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club and the International United Paper Workers Union.
He was a navy veteran of world War II and Very active in the Milford VFW.
In his earlier years, he played baseball for the Riegel Ridge Rti County League and was offered a chance to play for the Cleveland Indians.
He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and bowling.
His wife the former Elizabeth Smith, died in 1989.
In addition to his daughter, ****, he is survived by another daughter, ****, of Alpha,; a brother, *****, in Arizona; two sisters, *****, of Easton, and *****, of Milford; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A sister, Betty Frace, died earlier. |
