Peter W. Gruver
Peter W. Gruver, 88 years old of Allentown, died yesterday
at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. And Mrs. Harry
J. Fried, that city.
Mr. Gruver had taught school for several years in Northampton
County, and then continued teaching in Hanover Township for
30 years. Later he took up farming near Allentown until a year
ago when he made his residence with his daughter.
Surviving are brother, A. Nathaniel Gruver, of Allentown;
two daughters, Mary A. Fried, of Allentown; Sarah J. Rabenold,
of Catasauqua; two sons, William A. J. Gruver, and Charles
H.P. Gruver, of Allentown; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren,
and a great-great grandchild. |
