Ruth Schinstine Poff, ran gas station store
Mrs. Ruth Schinstine Poff, 84, of 2875 Oregon St., Palmer
Township, died today in Easton Hospital.
After the death of her first husband, William Schinstine,
in 1942, she operated the Schinstine Gas Station, Berwick
and St. John Streets, Easton.
She later operated the Variety Store, on Berwick Street,
for six years. She was also a Stanley Home Products dealer
in the area.
Born in Easton, on March 16, 1897, she was a daughter of
the late William H. and Fannie Mattic Hahn.
Surviving are her second husband, Charles S. Poff, Sr.;
three sons, two stepdaughters, five stepsons,
six grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren
and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Strunk
Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in South Easton Cemetery.
