Jacob E. Hester, With Bush & Bull for 48 Years
Jacob E. Hester, 88, formerly of 406 McCartney St., died last night in Easton Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday from the Eastwood Convalescent HOme, where he was a guest since January.
Mr. Hester was a superintendent for Bush & Bull Co., in Easton and later in Bethlehem. He was with the company 48 years.
Born Aug. 12, 1875, in Easton, he was a son of the late Enos and Mary Levers Hester.
His wife, the former Elizabeth Moyer, died in January 1943.
Mr. Hester was of the United Church of Christ faith. he was a member of Dallas Lodge 396, F&AM;Hugh de Payen Commandery 19, Knight Templar and Lehicton Lodge 244, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, all of Easton.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edward I. H. Bennett, Pittsburgh; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bender Funeral Home, Easton.
