Mrs. Raub, Operated Florist Business with Husband
Mrs. Daisy V Raub, 87, of 115 Industrial Drive, Easton, died last night
in Easton Hospital after a short illness. She was hospitalized a week
ago.
She was the widow of Irenaeus Raub who died in 1968. Mrs. Raub and
her husband operated Raub's Florist at their home address 50 years.
She retired two years ago.
Born on Aug 5, 1888, in Williams Township, she was the daughter of
the late Thomas and Mary L Steckel Hineline.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Williams Township,
and was a past president and present chaplain of Lafayette circle 192,
Ladies of Grand Army of the Republic, Easton.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fortner and Mrs. Evelyn
Keiper, both of Easton, and Mrs. Evelyn Weeks, Milford, NJ; two sisters,
Mrs. Ethel Helms, Hellertown and Mrs. Mary Dutt, Woodbridge, Conn;
a brother Ira Hineline, Phillipsburg, eight grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren
and three great-great-grandchildren.
A son Lester died in 1966.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Shillinger funeral
Home, Easton. Interment will be in Hay's Cemetery. |
