Lawrence R. Kelchner, 61, Easton Legion Band Member
Lawrence (Larry) R. Kelchner, 61, of 3715 Freemansburg Ave., Palmer Township, died Saturday in Easton Hospital shortly after being admitted. He was stricken wile at work at G. Hiram Buchman, Belvidere, where he was employed for the last eight years.

Previously, he was a route man and mechanic at Easton Laundries.

Born in Eston on Oct 20, 1915, he was a son of the late William H. and Katie May Border Kelchner.

He was a 1933 graduate of Easton High School where he played in the band. He also played in the Brown and Lynch American Legion Post Band. He sang with the Delhi Four Barbershop Quartet. As a young man he sang in the choirs of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and St. Mark's UCC.

Surviving are his widow, the former, Pauline M. Roth Godshalk; a daughter *****, East Keansburg, N.J.; a stepson, *****, West Easton; a stepdaughter, *****, Wilson; a brother, William H.l Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Frankenfield, both of Easton; three grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Strunk Fuenral Home, Easton. Interment will be iNovember 26, 2011
