Mrs. Serfass, Was active in Lodge Affairs
Mrs. Elsie A. Serfass, 68, of 633 W. Berwick St., Easton, died at 1 :10 a.m. yesterday in Easton hospital. She had been a patient there since Aug 7.

Mrs. Serfass was the widow of Willis S. Serfass, originator and designer of the official Easton High School Seal, accepted by the Easton School board in 1905. He died August 29, 1955.

Born in Easton, June 15, 1893, she was the daughter of the late Luther L. and Amanda Fritz Kiefer.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; Easton Council of Republican Women; Easton Chapter 214, Order of Eastern Star, and Lafayette Court 133, Amaranth, Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Surviving are two sons, Luther L. Penns Grove NJ. and Willis K. Palmer Township; a daughter Anna L. wife of Richard L. Seip, Forks Township, a brother, Raymond J. Kiefer, Easton; a sister Miss Lucy S Kiefer, Harrisburg; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton. Fraternal rites will be conducted by the Order of Eastern Star at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow
