Helen E. (Kiefer) Reed, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late William F. Reed, who died in 1972.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late George and Louisa (Everard) Reed.
Helen was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and its Seniors group. She was a volunteer at Holy Family Manor. Helen was the last of 18 children.
Survivors: Sons, *****. of Watertown, N.Y., ***** of Allentown, ***** of Coopersburg; daughters, ***** of Alameda, Calif., ***** of Allentown, *******of Fountain Hill, ***** of Philadelphia; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, William F. Jr. and James C., and two grandsons, Tom M. Jr. and Willy.
Services: A viewing will be held 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church. Interment, Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements, Downing Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
