Mrs. Howard Walter
Mrs. Mattie Walter, 96, died last night at Easton Hospital. A former Easton resident, she had been a guest at Gracedale for the last 12 years.
She had been employed by the Basset Cleaning Co., Easton and the Chipman Knitting Mills, Easton.
Born in Raubsville, PA. she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Diehl Kiefer.
She was a member of the first Evangelical Congregational Church of Easton.
Her husband, Howard and her only child, a son Howard N., preceded her in death. Surviving are seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth. Interment will be in Hay's Cemetery, Easton |
