Raymond J. Kiefer Sr.
Raymond J. Kiefer, Sr., 75, formerly of Easton, died yesterday at Easton hospital where he was a patient for three weeks. Mr. Kiefer was a guest at Gracedale for the last four years.
Born March 23, 1890 in Easton, he was a son of the late Luther and Matilda Fretz Kiefer. He was the husband of the late Fanny Kiefer.
A former machinist at Lehigh, Inc., he retired in 1955. Before working at Lehigh, he was employed as a foreman in the quilting department at Onadaga Silk Co. He worked there for 32 years.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Easton.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond J. Jr. Warren Glen, and Harry G. Mesa, Ariz, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Shillinger Funeral Home. |
