W. C. Kiefer, 55, Supervisor of Bangor Firm
Willis C. "Bill" Kiefer, 55, of 511 S. Broadway, Wind gap, died this morning in Easton Hospital where he was admitted July 12. He was ill four months.
Mr. Kiefer was employed as a supervisor in the finishing department of the Blue Ridge textile Co., Bangor.
Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Nazareth, he was a son of the late William M. and Ellen M. Barthold Kiefer. He was a Navy veteran of World war II.
Mr. Kiefer was a past deacon and secretary of the consistory of Trinity United Church of Christ, wind Gap, now the Hope United Church of Christ. He was a member of Nelson V. Lobb Post, American Legion, Pan Argyl.
Survivors include his widow, the former Laura Ackerman, a daughter, Miss *****, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Boettcher, Bethany, W. Va.; Mrs. Marie Weiss, Nazareth, and Mrs. Charles Fitts, South Weymouth, Mass.; a half brother, Daniel Long, Nazareth, and a half sister, Mrs. Clara Boehm, Easton R.D.
The funeral will beheld at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Paul A, Altemose Funeral Home, Wind gap. Interment will be in Plainfield Cemetery. |
