Raymond A. Kist, former Easton Resident, Dies
Norfolk, Va.- Raymond Arner Kist, 55, former Easton resident died Sunday night at 7:05 o’clock in Norfolk Hospital.

Mr. Kist had been in ill health for some time with a heart condition. He was hospitalized twice within recent months, the last time for several weeks.

He was appliance manager for E. K. Wilson & Sons in Norfolk. He had been with the firm about seven years.

Before that he was associated with the Hoover Co, vacuum cleaner manufacturers, in Easton, Allentown and Norfolk, His service with the firm spanned an 18 year period.

Mr. Kist was a native of Easton. He was a star bowler for several teams in the Easton vicinity in former years.

He stared to work for the Hoover Firm in 1930 as a salesman working through the Morrison Electric Co. store in Easton. He held that position about 10 years.

After leaving the Morrison Store he went to Allentown, where he was district manager for the vacuum cleaner company for about two years.

About 13 years ago, he moved to Norfolk, taking a position there as district manager for the Hoover firm, a job he held until he went with the Wilson store there.

Mr. Kist was the son of the late Peter and Alice Brotzman Kist. He lived at 246 Bayview Blvd. in Norfolk.

He was a member of the Norfolk Lions Club, the Izaak Walton League, Norfolk Executives Club, South Side gun club, Commissioned Officers Golf Club, Norfolk Sports Club, andChrist Methodist Church, all of Norfolk, and the Odd Fellows, Easton.

Surviving are his widow, the former Mary McConnell, and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Genther, of Wilson.

Services were held this afternoon in Norfolk. Further services and in terment will be in Atlantic City, N.J.
