Birdie E. Stiger -- retired Reger agent
Birdie E. Stiger, 90, of Sparta, N.J., died Wednesday, Dec. 22, in Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, N.J. She was the former owner of the Reger Agency in Whitehouse, which she sold in 1955 and retired from, as a real estate and insurance broker, in 1976.
She born in Phillipsburg. She was resident of Hunterdon County most of her life and moved to Sparta from Stewartsville in 1990.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sparta, the Presbyterian Women, the Sparta Seniorsand the Sparta Women's Club. She was a former member of the General Frelinghuysen Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution in Old Whitehouse and the Clinton Women's Club.
Her husband, John, died in 1982. She is survived by a daughter, Sally Gonzalez of Sparta; two brothers, Charles Laubach of Chatham and James Laubach of Bridgewater, N.J.; and three grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, 32 Main St., Sparta. The Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, is in charge of the arrangements. |
