Harry S. Lockard, Retired Telegrapher
Harry S. Lockard, 84, 424 Hardwick st., Belvidere, died last night at his home, He had been ill about five years.

Mr. Lockard was a telegrapher for 45 years on the Lehigh and Hudson River Railroad. He retired 14 years ago.

Born in Belvidere, he was a son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Good Lockard. He lived al his life in Belvidere.

He was a member of Belvidere Methodist church and an honorary member of the official board of the church. He was a member of the church choir for 63 years. He was a trustee and past president of the Belvidere Cemetery Association.

He was organist and a member of Warren Lodge No. 13, F&AM and a member of the Knight of Pythias, Belvidere.

Surviving are his widow the former Susan Smith; four sons, H. George Lockard, Belvidere; Richard J., Paterson, N.J. Samuel L. Albany, N.Y. and Malcolm Smith of Somerville, N.J. four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Daniel G. Warner Funeral Home, Stroudsburg.
