Geroge B. Laubach, Department Store Salesman, Was 76
George Brendel Laubach, 76, of 4009 Nicholson St., Palmer Township,
a salesman in the draperies department of Laubach & Sons department
store, Easton, was found dead in bed today at about 7:30 a.m. by his
niece, Mrs. Helen M. Bonham, who resided with him.
Dr. George Laubach, who was summoned, pronounced Mr. Laubach dead.
Dr. Laubach, who had been treating Mr. Laubach, said death was due
to a heart attack. The two were not related.
Born in Williams Township on Dec 30, 1878, Mr. Laubach was a son of
the late Abram and Emma Hartzell Laubach. he had resided in palmer
Township since 1943. He had been employed by the Easton firm since
1892, He formerly was a salesman in the carpet department of the store.
He worked yesterday.
Mr. Laubach was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church,
Easton; the men's club of the church, and Lehicton Lodge 244, IOOF,
Easton.
His closest relatives, besides Mrs. Bonham, are two other nieces and
a nephew. His wife the former Anna Belle Teel, died in 1951.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bender Funeral
Home, Easton.
