McAbee Jr., John S.
John S. McAbee Jr., 71, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006,
in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born: He was born in Easton,
a son of the late John Sr. and Margaret F. Garis McAbee.
Personal: He and his wife, the former I. Audrey Reading,
were married 47 years. He owned and operated McAbee Printing
Company in Easton for many years. He also worked as an
insurance agent, last working with Kressler, Wolfe and Miller
in Easton. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the Navy,
serving during the Korean War. He attended Lafayette College
and was a graduate of Haverford School outside Philadelphia,
Pa.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical
Lutheran Church. He was also a member of Mink Pond Hunting
and Fishing Club in Bushkill, Pa. and a past member of
the board of directors of the American Red Cross, Easton
Chapter. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, Portland Lodge, Portland,
Pa.
Survivors: his wife; three daughters, a sister, and five
grandchildren.
Services: 11
a.m. Thursday in the church, 1422 Church Road, Pen Argyl.
Friends and family may call 10 a.m. to time of service Thursday
in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of David
J. Boyko Funeral Home. |
