Dorothy M. Merrick
Miss Dorothy M. Merrick, 49, of 179 Chambers T., Phillipsburg,
was dead on arrival yesterday at Warren Hospital after being
stricken at home. She had been under care of a doctor.
At one time she had been a typist in the Turbo Division of
the Phillipsburg plant of Ingersoll-Rand Co.
She was born in Easton on Dec. 24, 1925, the daughter of Mrs.
Rhoda Stamets Merrick, with whom she lived, and the late Charles
S. Merrick.
She lived in Phillipsburg for the last 40 years, was a 1943
graduate of Phillipsburg High School and was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg.
Survivors include three brothers, Bruce R., at home; John
E. of Phillipsburg, and Charles S. of Arcadia, Fla.; two sisters,
Mrs. June Everitt, Easton R.D. 2 and Mrs. Joyce Savacool, Silver
Lake, N.J., and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Greenwich Presbyterian
Cemetery
