W.C. Pfeffer Sr., Ex-School Director in Forks Township

William Charles Pfeffer, Sr. 70, a past member of the Forks Township School Board for 12years, collapsed and died yesterday while repairing a home at 2260 Freemansburg Ave. Wilson. He lived in Nazareth R. D. 3.

Death was attributed to natural causes.

Mr. Pfeffer was a retired market gardener who had operated a vegetable stand along Route 115 in Plainfield Township.

He was superintendent of the Forks Union Sunday School and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Easton.

A native of Easton, he was a son of the late John N. and Missouri Young Pfeffer.

Surviving are his widow, the former Verna Saylor; two daughters, *****, Palmer Township, and ****, Pompton Plains, N.J.; a son, William C. Jr., Pen Argyl R.D1, who is personnel director of the Easton Area School District; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Kline, Bethlehem Township, and Mrs. Reba Brightbill, wind Gap; two brothers, Casper and Paul both of Bethlehem Township, and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Altemose funeral Home, Inc., Wind Gap. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
