Elmer J. Ricketts, 81, of Easton, died Thursday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Myrtle (Fox) Ricketts. They were married 59 years.

Ricketts worked for Binney & Smith Inc., Forks Township, for 35 years, retiring in 1972. He also owned and operated Rick's Gun Shop, Easton, for 20 years.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Thomas R. and Anna (Ehrler) Ricketts.

He was a 32nd degree Mason in Easton Lodge 152.

Survivors: Wife, and a sister, Helen Bechtel in Florida.

Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. No calling hours. Arrangements, Strunk Funeral Home, Berwick Street at Reynolds, Easton.
