Mrs. Catharine E. Merwarth
Mrs. Catherine E. Merwarth, of 1433 Washington Street, died at her home Saturday at 12:15 p.m. She had been in failing health since May of this year.

She was the daughter of the late Levi and Emma Kieffer Seifert and resided in Easton her entire life.

Her husband, the late William C. Merwarth, was one of the original founders of the Pennsylvania Pump and Compressor Company and was superintendent at the time of his death, April 24, 1936.

She is survived by the following children: Lillian, Mildred and Elizabeth at home; Mrs. John Ulmer, of South Easton; Charles William Merwarth, of Pen Argyl, and Commander Harold Russell Merwarth, of the Medical Corps of the U. S. Navy now located, at the Brooklyn Navel Hospital, Brooklyn , N.Y. She also leaves four grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Mrs. Allavesta Richards, and Mrs. Irwin D. Steckel both of South Easton.

She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran church.
