Newton H. Sherrer, 80, of Williams Township, died Monday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Catherine (Trittenbach) Sherrer. They were married 58 years last September.

He was employed by the former Western Kraft, Riegelsville, for 11 years, retiring in 1977. Before that, he was a self-employed farmer in Williams Township.

Born in Williams Township, he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Unangst) Sherrer.

He was a member of St. Luke's (Old Williams) Lutheran Church, Williams Township.

Survivors: Wife; son, and daughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Strunk Funeral Home, Berwick Street at Reynolds, Easton. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
