Mrs. J. W. McComas
Loreeta Sherry, wife of John Wesley McComas, departed this life
very suddenly early Satruday evening at her late home, 39 East
Broad Street, Bethlehem, following a recurrent attack of cerebral
hemorrhage. She was born in Mauch Chunk and was the youngest
daughter of George and Susanna Wilhelm Sherry. In early life
her parents moved to Bethlehem, whre she receved her education
and resided until her death. She was baptized in the Church of
the Nativity and was a lifelong member of that congregation.
She was married to Mr. McComas in 1878. She is ruvied by her
husband and son, Kenneth Wesley McComas of Perth Amboy, N.J.
two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Heck of Easton and Mrs. Margaret Daily
of Bethlehem, and three brothers, Ira C. Sherry of Waukegan,
Ill., George B. Sherry of Easton and Samuel W. Sherry of town.
It is said of her that she was a devout Christian, a kind mother
and loving wife.: The funeral will be held from her late home
on Wedensday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services will be held in
the house and burial will be made in the family plot in Nisky
Hill Cemetery. |
