Elwood C. Snyder
Elwood C. Snyder, 45, 22 E. Prospect St., Nazareth, died at his home Saturday at 11:30 a.m. He had been ill since October 28, 1960.
A native of Nazareth, he was the son of the late Carl R., and Alice H. (Stuber) Snyder.
He was a veteran of World War II. He enlisted in Allentown march 4, 19343, and was discharged at Ft. Dix, N.J., April 17, 1946. He served with the Army as a technician, 5th grade, with the 57th Field Hospital Division.
He was of the Moravian faith.
Snyder had been employed by the H. & R. Industries, Nazareth.
He was a member of the American Legion’s Harold V. Knecht, Post 415, and the Kenneth S. Bowers Post of the VFW, the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Co., and the Vigilance Hose Co., of Nazareth.
Surviving, besides his brother, Car R. with home he resided is a brother Herman M., of Nazareth and four nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Military funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the F. W. Schmidt Mortuary, 337 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Friend may call 7 to 9 p.m. |
