Joseph Snyder
Joseph Snyder, father of Rev. Elmer E. Snyder, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church of Easton, died of a complication of ailments at 6:30 o’clock this morning at his home at Marin’s Creek, aged 74 years. He had been suffering for some time. Mr. Snyder was a well-known resident of Lower Mount Bethel Township and was engaged in the wheelwright business there for many years.

The deceased is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. The children are Rev. Elmer E. Snyder of Easton; Charles Snyder and Herbert D. Snyder of Martin’s Creek and Mrs. Thomas Werner, of Bangor. Mrs. Snyder is also survived by three brothers and one sister – Lorenzo Snyder, of Stone Church; William Snyder and Enos Snyder of Easton and Mrs. Reuben Gruver of Forks Township.

Mr. Snyder was a member of the Lutheran Church at Martin’s Creek, Martin’s Creek Lodge, No. 745, I. O. O. F. The funeral will be held at the late home of the deceased on Saturday at 2 p.m.
