Mrs. J.M. Hendershot
Mrs. Julia L. Hendershot, 71, died yesterday in her home, 506
Northampton St., where she lived for the last 10 years.
Her husband, Jacob M. Hendershot, died August 16, 1970.
Mrs. Hendershot was born in Easton on August 13, 1901, a daughter
of the late George W. and Caroline Volkine Steckel. She lived
in Easton all her life.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the American
War Mothers, Gold Star Mothers, Lt. E.C. Baker Post VFW Auxiliary
and Brown and Lynch American Legion Post Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth J. of Easton and Clifford
L. Sr. of Bethlehem Township; a daughter, Mrs. Doris R. Diehl,
with whom she lived; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Litch, Nazareth
R.D. 3; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Ashton Funeral
Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. |
