Jacob "Jake" Walter, 85, of Nazareth, died March
6 in Old Orchard Health Care Center, Easton. He was married
to Geraldine (Steiner) Walter.
He and his wife were the co-owners and operators of Walter's
Dry Cleaning, Nazareth, for 29 years.
Born in Belfast, he was a son of the late Horace and Alma
(Fehnel) Walter.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Nazareth.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Harold
V. Knecht American Legion Post 415, Nazareth.
He was a past president of the Bi-State Bowling League;
a charter member of the Nazareth Varsity "N" Club,
and a member of Whitfield Masonic Lodge 622, Nazareth.
Survivors: Wife; son, Larry, and daughter, Sandra Wagner,
both of Nazareth; three grandchildren.
Services: memorial, 11 a.m. Friday, Schmidt Funeral Home,
407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. No calling hours. |
