Mrs. Pearson, 82, Was Wife of clergyman
Mrs. Mary W. Pearson, 82, of 725 Cattell St. Easton, wife of Rev. Philip Hl. Pearson, died at 7:15 a.m. today in Easton hospital. She was admitted to the hospital Oct. 8.
Born in Easton on May 10, 1879, she was a daughter of the late Van Selan Walter and Sallie Laros Walter. Mrs. Pearson was a graduate of Easton high School. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Easton.
Mr. and Mrs. Pearson were married on Sept 18, 1907. Her husband was a Lutheran Minister for 56 years. His last charge was the Mount Bethel Lutheran Church.
When she was married she was organist of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was head of the primary department of the church. She was a life member of the Women’s Missionary Society of the church. Her father who was a contractor, built the church.
Her husband is her only survivor.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. |
