Stanley P. Watters, 75, of the Phoebe Home, Allentown, formerly
of Phoebe Apts., Allentown, Orefield and Palmer Township, died
Friday, June 13, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of Charlotte G. (Altemose) Watters. They
were married 54 years in January.
He was a boiler technician at the former Dixie Cup Division,
American Can Co., Wilson, for 25 years before retiring.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Otto S. and Verna
P. (McKee) Watters.
He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Allentown.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Saucon Squares, Yellow Rockers and
The Easton Aires dance groups, all in the Lehigh Valley.
Survivors: Wife; sons, Dan S. of Lansdale, and Charles L.
and Eldon P., both of Orefield; brothers, Richard E. of Easton
and William of Bath; sisters, Arlyne Higgins and JoAnn, wife
of Calvin Vogel, both of Bath, Lois, wife of James Smith of
Rolling, N.C., and Verna, wife of Richard Aldinger of Easton;
four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th
and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Call 9-10 a.m. Tuesday.
