Richard Werkheiser, union laborer
Richard W. Werkheiser, 69, of Washington, formerly of Asbury, N.J. died Saturday, Nov. 14, in Warren Hospital.

He was a union laborer with Local 569, Washington.

Born Sept. 5, 1929, in Still Valley, N.J., he was a son of the late George and Margaret Lehr Werkheiser.

He served in U.S. Airborne 82nd Division from 1947 to 1949.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley McGuire; a daughter, two sisters, Frances Kunsman of Bangor, and Betty Kunsman of Easton; a brother, Carl of Bangor; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the DeVoe Funeral Service, inc., 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington. Call 5 p.m. to the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family requests donations to the funeral home, 07882.
