Herbert W. Wertley
Herbert W. Wertley, for fifteen years a conductor on the Easton Transit Company lines in this city, died at 10:20 o’clock this morning at his home, 1549 Ferry Street, of a complication of ailments, after an illness of six months. He was 48 years of age, and was born at Hamburg, Berks County. Deceased was a member of the Sons of Veteran, the Trolleymen’s Union and Christ Lutheran Church.

His mother, Mrs. Mary Wertley; his wife and three daughters – Mrs. Claude Stone, Miss Lulu V., and Miss Jennie Werley, all of this city; three brothers and two sisters – Edward, Wallace and Howard Werley, of Easton; Mrs. Barbara Hammond, of Chester, and Mrs. Webster Stain, of Bethlehem, survive him.
