Homer S. Wetzel Sr.
Homer S. Wetzel Sr., 82, of 798 Nazareth Pike, Nazareth, formerly of Van Buren Road, Easton R.D. 2 died Tuesday in his home. He was in failing health the last two years.

he was employed by Green Acres Farm, Nazareth, for several years retiring in 1978. Prior t that, he was a core maker for the former Treadwell Engineering, Easton, for 15 years, and a truck driver for the former Davies Strauss Stauffer, Easton. for several years.

Born Nov. 13, 1899, in Stockertown, he was a son of the late Isaac and Emma Stout Wetzel.

He served with the U. S. Marine Corps from 1921 to 1924.

Mr. Wetzel was a life member of the Tatamy Fire Co., and a member of the East Lawn Fire Co.

His wife, the former Elsie May Fogel. died in 1954.

Surviving are three sons, Homer S. Jr. of Bethlehem, **** of Stroudsburg R.D. 4 and Steward D. of West Easton; two daughters, Mrs. Arlen Rice, Nazareth R. D.1 and *****, with whom he lived; a sister, Mrs. Alice Christian, Easton R.D. 2; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Moorestown Cemetery.
