Obituary
Charles H. Wilhelm, the lately - elected high constable for South Easton, died at his home at Grant and Iron streets, in that borough, last (Friday) Night about seven o'clock, aged about forty-four years. He was confined to his bed only two weeks, troubled with inflammation of the liver. Mr. Wilhelm had been a resident of South Easton for the past eighteen years and was employed in the Valley carpenter shops for about twenty years. In politics he was a Repbulican and served his ward (Third) for a number of years as constable, securing it first by appointment and subsequently by election. In the late election he and Mr. Leh ran tie for the office of ward assessor, but the latter was appointed yesterday by the county commisioners. He was a great society man and a member of the following organizations: Columbia Council, No. 13, O.U.A.M, noble chief of Penn Castle, No. 41, Kinghts of the Golden Eagle, and Lehicton Lodge No. 244, I. O. O. F. of Easton. He was also a member of the Lehigh Valley Shops relief association and belonged to the 81 class of the shops funeral benefits association.

A wife and two sons, Leon and Pery, four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. William Dafeam in Jersy City; Mrs. William Ricketts, Reigelsvile, Pa., Mrs. George H. Short and Mrs. Samuel Bachman, Easton, Samuel Wilhelm, Jersey City and Oliver Wilhelm, survive him.
