Mrs. Floyd Garis
Mrs. Helen F. Garis, 74, of 447 21st St., Wilson, died yesterday
in Easton Hospital after a long illlness.
Born March 22, 1901, in Easton, she was a daughter of the
late William L. and Bessie Baskwill Wilhelm.
She was employed as a silk worker for the Stern and Stern
Silk Mill, retiring in 1963.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Easton, and
the women's society of the church. She was also a member of
the William Parsons Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Her first husband, John F. Firth, died in 1944.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd Garis; a daughter, Mrs. ****
*****, Forks Township; a son, *******. Firth, serving in
the Navy in Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Mrs. ****** *****,
New Tripoli, PA; a stepsister, Mrs. Jennie Arnold, Dayton Beach,
Fla.; four grandsons, three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Shillinger
Funeral Home, Easton Interment will be in Northampton Memorial
Shrine. |
