Darl C. Young, 79, of Bethlehem Township, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 in Easton Hospital. Born September 20, 1931 in Easton, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Catherine Weisel Young. He and his wife, the former Lorraine Frindt, would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on April 7, 2011. Darl retired as a foreman from Victor Balata Belting Co., where he was employed for 34 years. He was a 1949 graduate of Wilson High School and served with the Navy during the Korean War. Darl enjoyed woodworking, reading and building model ships. He built a spindle rocking cradle for his granddaughter when she was born and a huge doll house which she will always cherish. She was the joy of his life. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Tatamy. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by a son, ***** and his wife, *****, of Stafford, VA; a daughter, ***** and her husband, *****, of Wilson Borough; a brother, ******, of Bethlehem Township; a granddaughter, nieces; nephews; and a godson.
Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Easton. Call, Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery.
