One day recently, Adam F. Illick of Waterloo, was standing on a ladder and picking apples from a tree in his orchard. Suddenly the ladder broke and he was precipitated precipitated six or eight feet to the ground. In falling, he struck heavily on his breast, and his heart has seemed since to be injured by the accident.

DIED IN YORK STATE. -Adam -Adam F. Illick, of Waterloo, Seueea Co., New York, died on Saturday, Saturday, 14th inst., in the 79th year of his age. He was born near our neighboring town of Bethlehem Bethlehem on March 25, 1816, and moved to York State when 21 years old, and lived thereto the end of his earthly days. He was twice married, the last time in ISS4, and is survived by his wife, two daughters and three sons, also one brother, Mr. Samuel Illick, of Detroit, Mich., aud Mrs. George Zartman of Fayette, New York, the only survivors survivors of a family of eight children.

The large carpenter shop and water power, in South Waterloo, which was the property of -he -he late Adam F. Illick, was sold at executors' sale, on Tuesday. The purchasers were the sons of the deceased, Jacob and Charles IWick.
