John H. Landis
John H. Landis, aged 80, late of Haycock Township, died Friday morni ng in the Quakertown Community hospital.

He was born Aug. 5, 1863, a son of Aaron and Sarah nee Hager Landis, and f armed the lower Richland section. He was born in the same house in whi ch he had his late residence.

He is survived by three daughters, Ada, wife of Edgar B. Ahlum, Quakerto wn R. D.; Helen, wife of H. Raymond Ahlum, Quakertown, and Mary, wife of M erritt S. Kreidler, Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildre n.

A member of the Flatland Mennonite church, the P.O. S. of A., Kellersvill e, the Odd Fellows, Order of Eagles and Order of Owls, all of Quakertow n. He was for many years Republican party chairman in Haycock Township.

His pastor, the Rev. A. J. Newenschwnder will officiate at funeral servic es to be held in the Treffinger Funeral home, Quakertown, Wednesday at 2 p .m. Interment in the Flatland Mennonite cemetery.
