Abel Frankenfield
Ex-Jury Commissioner Abel Frankenfield, a prominent upper Bucks Countia n, died of a complication of diseases at his home in Haycock Run. The dece ased had been in fair health previous, or within nine day so of his deat h. He was 57 years old.
Mr. Frankenfield began his career as a merchant, and had been in the gener al store business for 11 years at Haycock Run, thereafter following the oc cupation of farming.

Ex-Jury Commissioner ABEL FRANKENFIELD, youngest son of the late Henry a nd Anna Frankenfield, a prominent upper Bucks countian, died of a complica tion of diseases at his home at Haycock Run.
The deceased had been in fair health previous or within nine days of his d eath. Mr. Frankenfield began his career as a merchant, had been in the gen eral store business for 11 years at Haycock Run, thereafter following t he occupation of farming.
Mr. Frankenfield had been nominated on several occasions for public offic e, as Clerk of Quarter Sessions, as Recorder of Deeds, and later was elect ed Jury Commissioner, also held various township offices and was a delega te to State Convention. In politics Mr. Frankenfield was a Democrat, and a lways was a hard worker for his party.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catharine (nee Hager) of Haycock Run; chi ldren?Adin of Philadelphia; Annie, wife of Lewis Johnson of Haycock Run; H arry of Hatfield, and the following brothers and sisters: Jonas, Haycock R un; Mrs. Mary Zeigenfuss, Northampton county, and Mrs. William Nase, Sprin gtown. Interment was made at Keller?s Church cemetery on Wednesday, Rev. W arren Nickel of Souderton, a former pastor of Keller?s Church Lutheran con gregation, officiated. Mr. Frankenfield for some years was Secretary of t he Lutheran Church Council. |
