He was a farmer in Tinicum twp. and on Apr. 3, 1857, he bought three trac ts in Tinicum twp., which touch his other land and the Tinicum Creek (de ed books 72 p. 576 and 99 p. 310). He called his farm at Sundale "Head Qua rters". The Frankenfield covered bridge was eventually built across the Ti nicum Creek on land that he had owned. In 1850 Rachel was running a hotel.
