Harry Knecht
Harry Knecht, a native of Eastonian, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reuben K necht, died at 9:30 o?clock this morning of heart trouble, at the ho me of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weiss, 24 South Fourth Street after an illne ss of three weeks. For many years Mr. Knecht had been living at 4141 Lanc aster avenue, Philadelphia, and came here to visit when he was taken il l. Mrs. Knecht and Mrs. Weiss are sisters.

Mr. Knecht was educated in the public schools of this city and was graduat ed from Lafayette College in 175. He was a member of the Franklin Litera ry Society while in college. He taught school until 1883 and then enter ed in the employ of the Lehigh Valley passenger service, her in Easton. L ater he moved to Philadelphia where he engaged in business and for the pa st twenty years or more, until his retirement three months ago was in t he decorating business. He possessed many friends in that city and was ve ry active member of the Centennial Methodist Church. He was also an enthus iastic Lafayette alumnus and frequently attended commencement and other e vents at the college here and rarely missed the annual luncheon of the Phi ladelphia Alumni Association.

Mr. Knecht married Miss Allie Bogardus, of Phillipsburg, and their many ye ars of married life were very happy ones. He is survived by his widow a s ister, Mrs. Louise Brewer, of Philadelphia, and a brother, Dr. Cyrus Knech t, of Mattawan, N.J, Six months ago his brother, Herbert with whom he h ad lived all his life died. They were greatly attached to each other and t his was a very serious blow to him.
