Harry N. Bassett, 81, of 322 Parsons St., Easton, died Sunday, April 8 in ManorCare Health Services, Palmer Township. He was the husband of Marie R. (Boyer) Bassett. They were married for 49 years last September.
He owned Bassett Cleaning Co., Easton, for 12 years until retiring in 1986. Previously, he was employed at Bassett Cleaning Co. when it was owned by his brother, John.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Harry and Minerva M. (Kiefer) Bassett.
He was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Easton, where he was a former trustee, former Sunday school superintendent and member of the Maranatha Sunday school class.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He was a member of American Legion, Brown and Lynch Post 9, Palmer Township.
He was a member of Gideons.
Survivors: Wife; daughter, *****. of Brookhaven, Delaware County; son, ***** of Forks Township; three grandchildren, a great-granddaughter.
