Miss Grace L. Bates
Miss Grace Livingston Bates, daughter of the late John L. and Rose Kieffer Bates, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her uncle. William B. Roberts, No. 1419 Butler Street, of a complication of ailments, in the 22nd year of her age. She had been in poor health since the influenza epidemic in 1918.
Miss Bates was born in Easton on May 20, 1902, was educated in the Easton schools and attended high school. She has resided with her uncle, W.B. Roberts, for the past ten years. One sister, Miss Elsie May Bates, living at the same address, survives her. Miss Bates was a member of St. Mark's Reformed church, also of the Sunday School and Christian Endeavor Society of that church, and was a most estimable young woman. She had a large number of friends in this vicinity. |
