Howard Bruden, 67, Husband of teacher In Phillipsburg
Howard C. Bruden, 67, of 304 Stelko Ave., Rosehill Heights,
Phillispburg, N.J. died yesterday at his home after a long
illness.
He was the husband of Mrs. Gussie E. South Bruden, a teacher
at Phillipsburg High School.
Mr. Bruden was a house painter for the Phillipsburg Development
Co., a divison of Ingersoll Rand Co., Phillipsburg, for 20
yeasrs, retiring in 1957 because of ill health.
Born December 23, 1905, in Phillipsburg, he was a son of Stacy
M. Bruden, now of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the late Vestilla
Troxell Bruden. He lived in Harmony and Broadway, N.J., before
moving to Rosehill Heights.
He was a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church and was a former
trustee of the church and a former Sunday school teacher.
He was also a member of Delaware Lodge 52, F&AM, Phillispburg;
and the Knights of Pythias, Flemington; an honoary member of
the Alert Hook and Ladder Do., Phillipsburg, and a honorary
life member of the Harmony township Volunteer Fire co. he was
graduated from Phillispburg High School, class of 1925.
Survivors include a son, four daughters,
a sister, Mrs. Gladys Horton, Passe-A-Grille
Beach, Fla., and 5 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rupell
Funeral Home, Philipsburg. Interment will be in Harmony Presbyterian
Cemetery, Delaware lodge 52, F&AM, will conduct services
at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. |
