Earle L. Brotzman, 83, father of Easton fire chief
Earle L. Brotzman, 83, of 334 Emmett St., Bristol, Conn., formerly of
Easton, died Thursday after a short illness.
He was the father of Easton Fire Chief Earle Brotzman.
Born in Easton, on July 8, 1896, he was a son of the late Leonard
and Emma Brotzman. He moved to Bristol from Easton in 1952.
While living in Easton, he worked for Laros Printing co. He was last
employed by Hildreth Press in
Connecticut, retiring in 1966.
He was an Army Cavalry veteran of World War I, and a member of Forestville
Senior citizens; Bristol Grange No. 116; Central Pomona Grange No.
1; Connecticut State Grange and the Circus Model Builders Association.
Surviving in addition to his on are his wife, the former Betty Berran;
three daughters, 12 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
His first wife, the former Helen Henzelman, died in October 1974.
Services were held Monday. Interment was in Forestville Cemetery.
